Is anyone booked on Celebrity Eclipse on June 12, 2010? We are looking for 2 or 4 people to share a DenRus tour in St. Petersburg, Russia. Have heard they do a great job and costs would be less if we share.Howdy psllady! Welcome to Cruise Critic!
Thank you for your post. However, you have posted on the forum where members find the "How to ..." type of information for using Cruise Critic's software such as thread subscriptions, avatars, signatures, countdown clocks, etc. Your post is off-topic here as well as being a Guideline violation since it is a share request not posted in your Roll Call thread.
When you have a chance, please read the Sticky post titled What is a ROLL CALL and how do I find mine? at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=44773. The Sticky post will tell you about our Roll Calls and how to locate the Roll Call thread for your cruise. That's the correct place for you to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you before the cruise.
A portion of the post states the following:
Please note, the Cruise Critic Guidelines do not allow personal ads of any kind in posts. This would include personal ads looking to share shore excursions/tours, transportation, etc. Posts of this nature are removed from all forums... with one exception. If you are sailing on a specific ship and departure date, you may post your share request on the Roll Call thread for your cruise. You are targeting the specific group of people who would be most inclined to share since they are already sailing with you. Please remember, do not start a new Roll Call thread with your share request. Use your existing Roll Call thread to post your share request.
Your Roll Call thread is the ONLY place on Cruise Critic where you and your fellow Roll Call members may post personal ads about sharing tours, excursions, transportation etc. with each other. Your Roll Call thread has a "captive audience" since everyone is sailing together!
To help you find your Roll Call thread quicker, click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=940702 for your Celebrity Eclipse "Connections" Roll Call thread titled Eclipse Jun 12,2010.
If your cruise is 7 days or more, don't forget to register for the "Connections" Party hosted by Celebrity Cruises for you and your fellow Cruise Critic Roll Call members. This will be a time and place on the ship with refreshments to meet everyone face to face after getting to know one another on your Roll Call thread. Click the following links for more information:

Please feel free to use the Search this Forum feature on all Cruise Critic message board forums with your key word or words. It will help narrow down the threads you will want to read during your research. Also, you can see if your inquiry has been asked and answered before. And it probably has... many, many times!
Click the Search this Forum feature to open the drop down menu. Type in your key word or words then click the little Go button. I suggest you do not try a search with too many or too common of key words at one time. This will sometimes overwhelm the search feature with too many threads to scan and it will time out. From time to time, you may receive an error message that says "Search function is down". PLEASE TRY AGAIN in a few moments. This message will often pop up during the busiest times of the day. Also, click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=969846 for another Sticky post titled How To Perform More Detailed and Specific Searches on the Boards.
The following information may be helpful too:
Be sure to read our FAQ at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/faq.php, especially the Getting Started section. You will see how a new topic should be consistent with the specific forum you choose. It also gives a brief summary of the topics covered in some of the forum sections. Other important FAQ sections are Subscriptions (Receiving e-mail notification of replies to posts and threads you specify) and User Maintenance. Please note, in the newer FAQ sections added with the last system update, you may find references to certain options or features not in use at this time.
In the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free membership, please note the Please Browse BEFORE You Post section since many of your questions may have been asked and answered before as mentioned above.
While doing your research, be sure you are on the correct forum. After you have browsed/researched for your topic and possibly not found an answer, word your new inquiry title so the other members scrolling through the thread titles will know exactly the information you seek. This will help the members as they scroll through the thread titles so they can reply to you. It is best to limit each inquiry to only one topic or concerning one cruise line, port of call, etc. You will get more replies that way. Be sure to mention your cruise line, ship or sail date in your inquiry if it will help the members with their answers to you.
If you wonder what some of the icons/symbols/arrows on Cruise Critic mean, just use your mouse to hover your cursor over the item and most often a tool-tip will appear with the name or action.
Per the Guidelines, your post should be removed due to being a share request not posted on the Roll Call thread for your sail date. However, since you are a new member I closed your thread and will leave it on this forum so you can see this reply and not wonder where it went.
I sincerely hope this will be satisfactory, even though it is not the type of reply you were expecting.
Glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic!
Being happy does not mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.
