Method for booking

So just a random question to see what most people prefer...booking directly on the Carnival website or going through a PVP? Is there really any benefits of going through a PVP?

I like using a PVP because she has access to more available rooms than show up on the website - it only shows 10 per area/category.

PVP. Many advantages especially when things don't go as planned. Kind of like Insurance. You think you don't need it until you do.

Exactly. I don't need my pvp to book my cruise but I like having her there in case I need anything.

I can save a few hundred dollars by booking elsewhere. No PvP is worth that.

Simple for us, PVP. She's been very helpful when we've had questions or needed information. and has been great with suggestions when we weren't sure about what cruise we might prefer.

PVP.

I have been using the same one for many years, nearly 20 cruises. The fact that he knows my preferences makes booking very simple and fast. A PVP can work with you when changes need to be made. Just last week, we added a cabin and a guest and changed who was in which cabin, he waived the name change fee and got us another cabin at a good price, all within 15 minutes. I have recommended him to friends and co-workers interested in cruising.

How do you go about getting a PVP?? Sorry I'm a newbie here.

You can ask Carnival to assign you one or get a recommendation from friends or family. We're not allowed to post names on here, unfortunately.

We book through a pvp. We are Canadian and a pvp can give us a rate in Canadian dollars. Sometimes a better rate than the website.

If you are new to cruising or even just new to Carnival I highly recommend using a PVP or TA. Just be sure whichever you pick is experienced. Carnival has so many different rate code and each seem to have different restrictions. You need someone to help you understand all the ins and outs of Carnival. This assistance can go a long way in enhancing your cruise experience. I see far too many people that have hiccups occur prior to cruising and it jades their entire cruise.
