Priority Embarkation

To the best of my knowledge NCL does not have a "Pay for Priority Boarding".

To get Priority Boarding one must be in a Suite class stateroom or have had

a few previous cruises to accumulate Latitude Rewards Points toward the

early priority boarding,

In most cases when you check-in (register and get your cabin key cards) you

will be assigned a boarding priority number class or something on that order.

Boarding may start as soon as the inbound cruise has been cleared of guests

(zero count) and all Customs and Immigration details finished.

Normal order of boarding is those in the Suites and those folks requiring

early boarding assistance (think wheelchair/electric scooters) followed by

the higher level of Latitudes guests Platinum (+) Gold - Silver (with CAS

somewhere in the mix).

This could go rather quickly if the volume of guests waiting to board is not a lot.

Ordinarily the period from noon to 1 or 2 pm is the crisis crunch period - then it

trickles down to just the last minute folks.

So arriving early may be what is best in your case or on the other hand late.

As long as NCL is not having any computer glitches in moving the mass of guests

things do tend to move along. A lot has to do with the size of the ship and the

embarking location being able to withstand the crowds at peak boarding times.

Suggestion when checking-in registering ask if you can be accommodated for

early boarding with your child. I can't vouch for NCL's answer but depending on

the boarding situation at that moment you may get a positive result or rats #%@&!

Nothing ventured - nothing gained.

Best of Luck !

Hi its my first time with NCL. How do i arrange for wheelchair assistance for pensioners who will find the wait/walk a little difficult? Do we arrange beforehand or on the day of the cruise during check in? With RCL we didnt use wheelchairs but they allowed us into a shorter queue with ramps and there were no stairs.

Contact the access desk (on the following link) and they will get you set up.

Does NCL have an option that you can pay for to get priority boarding? Carnival has a 'faster to the fun' option that you can buy. Will be traveling with a 3 year old and not sure how he would do with the long lines.

No.

Boarding is fast and efficient by group number. First come first board starting at 11:30.

You may pay for a suite if you choose. Unless you’re there very early (before the doors are open) it really doesn’t matter, you’ll most likely be able to walk right on board after checking in.

Yes, NCL has an option you can pay for to get priority boarding. They call it booking a suite.
