Reaching Diamond on our next cruise - do we need FTTF?

Looking for opinions. Do we even get Diamond benefits on that cruise?

No.....you have priority boarding as a Platinum guest.....you're on about as fast as anybody.....

Even though we reach the required number of days during that cruise?

If you are about to become Diamond, that means you have had all (and more) of the FTTF benefits since you became Platinum.

You will be Diamond when you board your next cruise.

Posted this question today (10/8/2017). But your post also shows that you are sailing on the Vista (10/07/2017). And you seem to not know that you have been Platinum for 125 cruising days and would not have needed FTTF while you were Platinum. Something sounds really fishy here.

Sounds more like the Hope Diamond Level: a Blue Card and yes, you'll wish you had purchased FTTF.

It sounds like the OP said Daimond, while meaning Platinum. If that is the case, you will receive all the benefits of your new status at the beginning of the present cruise. So you probably do not need FTTF.

this makes a lot more sense. I sure hope so. Otherwise they may have been "gifting" Carnival for FTTF in the past?

Yes - sorry! I meant Platinum. Whichever comes first. Now that we have returned from our last cruise, I see that our boarding passes currently say that we receive the benefits when we board our next one where we reach Platinum. Thank you for all your help! (And even to the ones that weren't so helpful....smh lol)
