Should we bring our own snorkel gear to Santa Barbara Beach Resort?

We booked day passes to the Santa Barbara Day resort. I know they say you can rent snorkel gear while there. Has anyone done this? What is the cost and/or was all the snorkel gear already rented? We are worried that we may get there and no gear will be available. So...we are thinking of bringing our own gear. Would that be allowed or should we just rent?

We always bring our own, just in case. We have never been to a resort that didn't allow us to use our own gear.
