Missed out on Excursion - Available on board?

I was going to book a resort visit while in San Juan. It's now sold out. My other option was a day pass from a certain website, that's sold out too.

What are the chances that the Carnival Excursion will be available on-board, maybe a bit more money?

Did you check to see what excursions are available for your cruise through Carnivals website ?

This. Not all excursions offered through an independent web site are also offered through Carnival. Be prepared to go with "Plan B".

It's possible the resort itself is at capacity. Many vdo limit the number of day passes based on in house reservations so not to overcrowd or dilute the experience.

Most cruise lines these days do not "hold back" excursions tickets for on board sale. BUT if the wait list gets long enough for another tour bus or driver to be used and the company or location is not at capacity then they may open a second sale of tickets on board.
