irishwitchy Posted October 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2017 i started a new topic, because this is going to be a combination topic of many recent posts. If a person cancels a trip and doesn't have an insurance they are basically out of luck - most of agree that is what happens ( not discussing if that is right or wrong). If a cruise ship cancels a port for what ever reason - the excursions that have already been paided for and scheduled does the local tour company get paid anyway because Regent has insurance to cover this? Or is the local guy just out of luck?
Travelcat2 Posted October 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2017 (edited) Not sure who would be privy to this information. I can't imagine that tour operators would simply be out of luck. They have reserved buses, tour guides and drivers. There must be responsibility .... either by Regent or an insurance company. My guess is that the responsibility lies with Regent. Not sure what you would like discussed regarding insurance since there have been two active threads on this subject in the last week. If there is more to discuss, may i gently suggest that the posters identify the country where they reside.
