Panama Canal cruises 2019

Does anyone know when the Panama Canal cruises for 2019 will be released? I'm wondering and hoping for a Solstice class ship instead of the Infinity.

Asked onboard Silhouette today and they were supposed to have been released already. Told that it looks like Celebrity is pulling out of the Panama Canal market for 2019.

Infinity had been doing the PC before/after the Alaska season but she won't be doing Alaska after next year......(replaced by Eclipse). I hope Celebrity doesn't stop sailing the PC.

When we were on Celebrity in October I specifically asked about the Panama Canal. And while I did not get a definitive answer, the person in future cruises hinted that Celebrity may not be there in 2019 because of the relocation of various ships.

I was looking for this too for May 2019. If Celebrity pulls out, what would be another line worth looking at? Princess seems big there.

Info I have says 2019 Panama Canal cruises will be released on Dec. 12. The ship will be Eclipse. Now, we all know that can change between now and when they do finally release the schedule.

We have know about the Eclipse in Ak for a while now. But being S class it won't fit the old canal and I do believe the new locks are a $$ issue ... but we shall see. The Solstice gets to and fro via Australia still I think.

Hard to beat an "X" 14 day West to East back into my time zone cruise. Ports and sea days balanced. Then a short flt home.(y)

Someone on Facebook just posted a new roll out schedule that includes an entry for "Panama Canal" and indicates the Eclipse as the ship. On sale supposed to be Dec 12.

Yeah, but it’s for the whole year. So Alaska is announced through September then a coastal and Hawaii. She could do the Canal after that and then spend the first part of the year doing South America same as 2018.

Maybe South America to get to and from AK INSTEAD of the canal.?? I'm thinking X has just about X'd the canal. Hope not though.

Getting to Alaska is already open though. Her South American trip up to San Diego has been on sale for a year.

OK then...I was not aware of that but guessing. So the other bit(s) I heard was that the Infinity is gone from North America after next years AK and Canal season and will be home ported in the Med. Somewhere... Will see how that works out. AND

The M class (ALL FOUR) are to be refurbed to Edge specs. What ever that means. :halo:

Infinity is spending the summer season in the med and then moves back to the Caribbean doing the short 4 & 5 day itineraries.

As of today, there are no 2019 Panama Canal sailings listed for Celebrity. What's the hold up?
