Astoria A venerable ship of a most enjoyable size by diplomats
A few words first about the ship. Astoria has had many names and modifications over the years. She is not the Stockholm but is a venerable ship. Carrying just over 500 passengers, Astoria provides a cruising experience that almost no other cruise ship can provide in terms of intimacy, convenience, absence of crowding and ease of embarkation and disembarkation, both at the beginning and end of the cruise and at the intervening ports of call...Read More

Celebrity Solstice Fantastic Family Cruise to Alaska by storymom We booked a package that included the classic drink package for the 4 of us who are of age and a soda/water/coffee package for my 16-year-old son. We also received $300 onboard credit per stateroom. I can't say enough about how easy this made things. I am not a big drinker, but it was wonderful to be able to order wine with dinner or a drink at the show or at sailaway with no hassle. It was also great to have that onboard credit. It eliminated any stress of worrying about how much we might spend on the ship. We honestly had everything we wanted (I even converted some of the OBC to slot credit in the casino) and ended up with just a few dollars charged to our credit card in the end. My husband upgraded his drink package to premium, but the classic was fine for the rest of us...Read More

Coral Princess Alaskan anniversary cruise by bjtieman We loved our room for Yakutat and Glacier bay cruising! I would sit on the balcony with my long camera lens and my wife would sit just inside the door where she was warmer and could hear the naturalist over the TV. In glacier bay, the naturalist announced a whale siting at 1:00 off the starboard bow. Sigh...our room is port side. But wait! The friendly people here on CC had mentioned the Coral has aft public decks! We quickly walked from our room to the aft deck on our floor and got there just in time to see a humpback waving at us just off the starboard side. There were only 2 other people on the entire deck! We got to watch him wave for a good long time as the ship slowly cruised deeper into the bay...Read More

Carnival Breeze Wonderful Cruise on the Breeze by Dmanrock Main dining room was excellent. My oldest tried every exotic food that was offered including but not limited to Ox Tongue...yes I said it. I don't know any other 13 year old that would try it all. It was a pleasure to watch her experience new things and that she did! There were a couple of things I didn't care for, but I don't have a very sophisticated palette. The Sea day brunch cannot be missed! I had the filet and eggs everyday it was open. They also had a lovely basket of pastries and croissants as well as other wonderful treats...Read More

Viking Vkasir Our Honeymoon Adventure by cacope Let me start by saying that as a couple in our early 20's, we were the youngest people on this cruise by far. If you are looking for a cruise with a nightlife and with a lot of young people, this is not the cruise for you. We were the only honeymooners out of 180 passengers, most of which were retired. Though a little unnerving at first, this turned out to be one of our favorite aspects of the cruise. Everyone on the ship learned who we were, including the staff, and made a great effort to make us feel welcome. We made friends, had a ton of fun, and were treated as novelties. It made the experience very special... Read More
