So we are night owls...and I am a bit confused on what is open till when etc...

The pool / Jacuzzis...are they 24hs? If not, what time do they close?

Dining options...am I correct that only the pizza place is open late? If so, what time? What time do other eating establishments close down? Grill, deli, bbq etc...

Do the bars close? Casino?

Thanks in advance...

Pools & Jacuzzis are usually closed by 10 if not earlier. Spa is 9. I'm not sure about the Havana area on the Vista.

Pizza is 24 hours, Deli is til 11 PM, specialty (pay restaurants) are usually done by 9. Lido buffet is 9 PM although in the rear area they do have a mini-buffet with sandwiches, sweets etc til at least 1 (may be later, 1 was as late as I ever was near there).

Casino only closes while we're in port.

Bars are open until at least 2, although I've never closed one down so I'm not the expert!!!

by 2, unless they have some serious action, the casino starts to close

There is always 1 bar which stays open late.... Years ago it was always the Tide bar back in the aft area (near the pizza place)...makes sense since they serve Pizza 24/7. However some ships have turned the Tide pool/bar area into Serenity area. Just look at the Fun Times once you board and it will list opening and closing times for all the bars

On a side note: Is this your first cruise? Im a night owl too (right now it's 4 am) but when I cruise i seem to get pretty tired by at least midnight... I swear it's from the rocking of the boat.... and maybe all the carbs lol ... BUT the rocking definitely helps lull me to sleep...

I typically see the latest show, take a walk around, hit up the casino and then head back to my room where I read or watch tv and plan my next day.

I also download netflix movies to my ipad incase there is nothing on tv or i dont want to disturb my husband. :)

Hopefully the boat will rock you to sleep as well :) have fun,

The Alchemy Bar shuts down at midnight. I know the hot tubs/spas all have different closing times around the ship depending upon their location. The Fun Times always list what closes at what times - including the various hot tubs- to help you plan your days.

I will state though that on the Western Caribbean cruises we have been on, in particular, the ship is pretty deserted by about midnight simply due to so many of the port of calls being terribly early. Its not unusual to have excursions leaving/meeting up in the 7-8 am range, and when you have been up about about since 6:00 a.m. - by midnight most folks have already turned into pumpkins.

Thanks guys for all the input....funny you mentioned that Qchell as that's what prompted my question...last year we cruised RCL to the Western Caribbean and that was our impression that the boat was totally dead by midnight-ish...now we have previously taken this Mexican Riviera cruise and that boat was popping until very very late I think with late night eating after the late night festivities we went to bed most nights around 4am...so I am hoping this trip has a better late night atmosphere but we shall see.....

I love my late nights! That is my alone time once the family has gone to bed. I seem to stay in the casino until they kick me out, which can be 2-3am. The ship always seems to be quiet after 11:30-12ish. But who knows, I know we are on the same cruise together, if you feel you need someone to entertain you at 3am, come find me. I can sing and dance for you! :') I'm thinking because it is spring break for many, the cruise can go either way...tons of kids, people want to goto bed early as a family, or tons of college and 20 somethings partying on the ship til all hours of the night.

Ahhh...I'll def be on the look out for ya lol....

I agree...it will totally depend on the specific demographic/mood of the particular people on the ship so I'll just have to wait and see...fingers crossed we get a lively bunch!!!
