Price drop after category is sold out?

How do we check for a price drop after our room category is sold out? I have a cove balcony and they are sold out. I can only check the price of a regular balcony. Carnival fare viewer is no longer available. Thanks!

Once the category is sold out, there will be no more price drops.

You cannot get a price drop if there are no more cove balconies .

You cannot use the price for a regular balcony to compare.

You might want to keep an eye on prices anyway. If cabins in a higher category continue to decrease in price you might be able to upgrade for little money.

However, I love the coves and it would take a lot of incentive for me to switch categories.

If you want a regular balcony or extended one consider moving on up if it makes financial sense to you

Final payment isn’t until March 13th. If more coves open up could there be any price drops?

We prefer a cove balcony but will watch suites or aft balconies!

Very true. Especially look right around final payment time as people will cancel.

you look for higher categories to lower the prices. But you have to be willing to upgrade.

Most likely there will be no price drop if category is sold out. I would check a couple of weeks before sailing just in case someone cancels.

It's actually worse than that. Even if the category is still available, if there occupancy of your room is different, it can only be price matched if that particular occupencyin the category is still available. For example, even if Havana Cabanas are still available, if you booked a 3 or 4 person room (there are only two of each on the Vista), you can't price match.

Yup, what he said! If there are only 8 cabins in your category and you booked the last one, there won't be any fare drops in your future. If you are cat 8B, and they only have 8A and 8C available, you won't qualify for any discounts.

Price drops are gone. But once you are sold out someone may call and offer you a cheap upgrade to open up your room. So eye up what is available in the suites!
