Rental Car - Sharing a Lesson Learned

Hi All,

Just back from a Southern Caribbean with a stop in Curacao. We were headed out to Playa PortoMari so we rented a car. We rented at Megapier under the advice that even if ship didn't dock there (ours didn't as we were the smaller of 2 vessels in port that day) that it was a short walk from the Otrobanda pier location. Well, it was a longer walk than we anticipated. While it is totally a "doable" walk, if you know you won't dock at Megapier then I would suggest renting directly from the Howard Johnson location instead - it's MUCH closer when your ship is not docked at Megapier (HJ is basically across from the walking foot bridge). We returned the car there and really appreciated the shorter walk with all our snorkeling gear, etc.,

hope this is helpful!
