Good morning CC from Freedom. Because of work, I needed to purchase the internet package while on this cruise so I thought I would try to post a bit here and there as well. About to take a walk and maybe I'll try to determine how many wakes are out back.

This is a spring break cruise for us, a first. We normally try to travel off season as our kids are homeschooled, but we are cruising with friends whose kids are not. Wow are there a lot of kids on board. There are always a ton on this class, but this is absolutely kid packed, someone mentioned over 1000. Kids pool area was hopping on boarding day, but other than that, I have not felt the weight of that many kids at all, but we are not really traditional cruises and try to avoid most crowds.

More later, lets see if i can get this picture to work.

Busy day for carnival in port yesterday.

By the way, how much are the internet prices for one device and two devices? I've seen various prices posted. thanks.

We bought the two device package and it was 140, but we paid 100 with the diamond discount. Forget how much the one device package was, but a bit less.

So here's a picture of the wake from deck 4. Can't really tell much but maybe others can. I'll try later from upper decks. TV says we're doing 22.6 knots. Smooth seas and no rocking or vibrating that I've noticed. 2be7fb1d9cd3941f937ebbe83a5019d1.jpg

Someone asked about this elsewhere:

One more from one of my favorite places:

Following!! :-) But I assume you meant 3-15-15 and not 2-15-15 yes :-)

Hopefully a Mod will fix it :) I think it will get a lot more following if so. Ckrobyn already has a massive 2-15-15 sailing Live from thread on here.

Yes, while my typing skills are great on a keyboard, they are quite terrible on the iphone. If any word doesn't make sense try substituting an 'i' 'o' or 'u' fir one if the others. I always miss those.

So interestingly they have stopped using reservations for the ice show. Now all are first come first seated. Got a notice in our room that the reservations were terminated.

Also interestingly, at least to me, is that some of the bars have their own individuals menus now, contra to what some of the 'bar' threads have stated. Saw one in schooner bay and R Bar. Maybe I will try to post a picture of one later, but not sure how they will come out.

Lol, I always mess up the 'i' and 'o' myself, even on the large Galaxy S5 screen. Uncoordinated thumbs I guess.

Thanks for the live updates, I'll be following.

My son and seven of his fellow medical student friends are on board with you. They sent me a pic from the solarium around noon yesterday (I coordinated everything about their trip for them) and all looked so much more relaxed already! I am so happy you're posting and I'll be watching your thread all week.

I'm enjoying the live report! Has anything been changed in the casino?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes! In fact last night they installed some new table tops on some of the table games. The area around your chip lights up when you place a chip there. They were testing them out this morning and they looked pretty cool. I wonder if they have rfid sensors in them to determine if the denomination of the chip matches the color if the chip to avoid counterfeits

Also saw a new slot machine that had some 3-d effects and the free pull slot machine was new. Last I was on freedom was in may, so not sure if these are dry dock changes as the slot machines could have changed any time since then. The free pull machine says that it gives a raffle ticket for the prize instead of the key chain, but they haven't implemented that yet and I won another key chain.

Do the bar menus have prices?

Not the Schooner Bar or R Bar. Saw someone drop $15 on a drink in the R bar with the tip.

I did see a $10 on the generic bar menu above the cocktails, but there were no prices on each drink.

The R bar has a different menu from the one on Enchantment. I liked the EN menu better. I'll get a shot of it at some point.

The wash from the fixed pod is harder to detect as it does not break the water in the same place or with the same intensity as the azipods. You are able to see it usually in the vicinity of the arrow and beyond, however in this picture it is hard to tell without being able to see the actual movement of the water. A 22+ knot speed seems rather substantial on two pods, but that it just a guess. Also if you look directly down to the water from the center of the stern on deck 4, if the wash is not white and foamy when you can see mostly blue water, it is possible to detect the helical signature from the center pod.
