vanilla and pearls

So first cruise to Cozumel,

I was told that there is a good place to get Mexican vanilla and pearls on the cruise dock shops??

Any one know names of places ?

Any one know if the Mexican vanilla is real or synthetic????

Mexican vanilla is real, great and cheap - you can find it at many of the shops on your pier (there are 3 cruise ship piers on Cozumel).

I've never shopped for pearls there - sorry I cannot help with that question. Have a great cruise! :D

We have been there a few times. The best vanilla has always been Los Cinco Soles. Found in port shops right off of dock. I think that is the name of the shop as well as the vanilla. No coumarin in it. Just FYI my wife found it on line a couple of years ago and ordered some. We think it’s the best!! shop.loscincosoles.com.

i know there is a pearl farm that you can visit in Cozumel. I have seen excursions to it but I don't know where to actually buy them at a good cost.

I agree...Los Cincos Sol for the vanilla.....I can't wait to get another bottle...I'm almost out!

I see the answer where to get the vanilla is what I was going to tell you, as that is where I am planning on getting it. When I cruised, I bought a large bottle of vanilla, and it has lasted a long time, but it comes in handy for ALL the Christmas baking I do.:)
