Marriott in Curacao

We stayed at the Marriot in curacao for 10 days. It is an awesome place to stay but the casino is a small one. Smaller than the one on the NCL Dawn. Maybe one of the newest hotels have a larger one, but that is a bit of a trip for the effort.

Husband wants to go to the Emerald Casino because a very old friend of his (who used to live there) told him a lot about it. Any idea of the drive time? Or approximate cost of a taxi? Thanks / Appreciate the information

We have a excursion booked that is to meet at the Marriott and was told by the tour company that the distance by cab from the cruise pier is about 5 mins. and approximately $10.....I hope this is true, becuse we dock at 8 and have to meet at 8:50......what ship and date for y'all?

There are two Marriotts - the first (from what I understand) is very close to where we dock... That is the Renaissance Marriott & Casino / Baden Powellwes. The second Marriott, the one with the Emerald Casino, is on JFK Blvd. near Piscadera Bay. I even tried "driving directions" to see if I could come up with a time frame, i.e. how long of a drive is it to the one with the Emerald Casino.

The casino at the Renaissance Hotel alongside the Mega Pier is larger than the one at the Marriott.

Thanks for letting us know that the casino at the Renaissance Hotel is larger. Do you know if part of our group is gambling will they let the rest of us hang at the pool?
