Caught this on WCVB news. Seems total loss of power and if things can't be re-started, the CG might tow the ship. If it's mechanical, they'll need to find a shipyard capable of taking on the repairs. At least it didn't run aground like the old QE a number of years ago. Back then we took our boat out of Buzzards Bay and sailed around the QE.

Does this happen because the ship is built in the 1980s? Or just a coincidence?

 

No. Age is not the issue. However I consistently hear the Seaborne ran the triplets into the ground and delivered them in deplorable condition.
