Has anyone applied for a visa to India (cochin) if so how much did they charge ? only 1 day in port .

Under what country's passport are you travelling? Makes a difference. Usually you can get the information you need by going to the website of the nearest Indian Embassy in your country.

With a US passport it was $100 plus a small admin fee (like $3). Took just one day online.

Make sure you are on the government website and not on a website that charges extra for obtaining an Indian Visa. just a word of caution. The sham sites look very official but want to charge more for the visa, plus you don't know who you are giving your information to.

When I first applied, I had thought I was on the official site but after filling out a form, I realized I was not of the government site.
