What % of people on the ship have drink packages?

From a lush to a drunk. I take issue with your post. I don't get drunk every night. There's at least one night I only get buzzed.

Funny.

And anyone who can't have 5 or 6 drinks over the course of the day without getting drunk shouldn't drink at all.

And that's before adding juice coffee soda and water into the equation.

I could drink a case of beer and you would think I was as sober as a judge. By the way are you a BLUE DEVILS fan?

I dine with Judges pretty much every week.

Bing as sober as a judge isn't much of a recommendation.

Yes - for basketball, but I went to Florida so for football I'll have to stick with the gators!

And - you're very responsible to save one night for 'only buzzed.' I've yet to conquer that feat.

Did you ever notice that the some of the non-drinkers keep being so serious and the drinkers keep trying to keep it fun and light?? Tells you something, doesn't it?

Lol yes I know it's an ol wives tale.

A mate is (actually just retired) a Judge, his favorite joke

"What is the difference between a Judge and a shopping Trolley"

Answer

"A shopping trolley has a mind if it's own AND there is only so much Foid and drink you can fit in one shopping trolley".

But true.

I was heeding out to our Annual dinner the other night and stopped to fill the car, the girl serving asked where I was going and I said a dinner with Judges and Barristers, she said

"that'll be pretty tame I guess".

Oh if only she knew.

Hello, I'd like the anti-judgey I'm-not-a-dick drinks package please. Does that include the holier-than-thou spirits? It does? Excellent... I'll take ten.

That is included in the package. However that package is not available on the follow ships:

The Judgment of the Seas

The Shaming of the Seas

and especially not on The Rehab of the Seas.

DISCLAIMER: These are all jokes, meant to lighten the thread. Please take them with the grain of salt with which they were intended. Or - please cruise on our new ship The Too Serious of the Seas and request the upper "look down on you" balcony cabins.

That's outrageous. Do they not know who I am? I'm taking my booking to another cruise line.

Do Smirnoff do cruises?

My wife has 1 drink with me when we board then she usually doesnt have another drink until 4:00 or 5:00.Even being D and in a suite i still get her the package for the convenience and the fact that she is a Hugh worrier she worries about everything. So i buy the package on my cruise planner after i book. When we board its all paid off its on her card and she doesnt have to worry about what the costs are and if she should try something new or not.Do i take a loss probably but i dont care its one less thing she worries about so shes happier which in turn makes me happier.

You are a wonderful husband!

EXACTLY.

Even if we didn't spend the daily package amount of $55 for PP (which isn't going to happen by the way - we easily go over that each day) I don't want to spend my cruise keeping up with my bill.

On our first cruise we didn't buy a package and spent each day trying to work out how much each drink was, estimate how much our invoice at the end of the cruise was etc etc. SO DULL.

I'm on holiday. The booze has been prepaid. Sit back, relax and order another pina colada.

Eek! Lots of posts about how breaking even on a package (4-5 drinks a day) makes one a drunkard or a lush. So, the 10+ cocktails/glasses of wine I have a day while cruising... oops!

Weird thing is that I don't drink more than twice a month a home, and yet onboard I never seem even tipsy (at least so I'm told by the non-drinkers) due to all the bread etc I'm eating.

Obviously, my answer to the initial question is that I would always get some kind of package if I can afford it, because I love frozen cocktails.
