Steak for lunch

Hello everyone,

I will be sailing on the Ruby in three weeks. So looking forward to it. I am traveling with my 96 year young mother. She does not eat dinner but has her main meal at lunch. She enjoys a good steak. Do they have any steak available at lunch either included or at an extra charge?

Thank you for your help.

There is a "Live from the Ruby Princess. . . ." thread on the board right now. The poster is showing the dining room menus each day. This may give you some insight.

The specialty restaurants are not open for lunch except for one or two "sea days" when the Crown Grill offers the Pub Lunch--which does not offer a steak.

Also, I'm not sure that the dining rooms are open for lunch on "port days." I don't know what itinerary you are taking, but you might consider having a nice lunch ashore on those days.

As already mentioned, the MDR is only open for lunch on sea days - not port days.

I suggest you talk with your head waiter at dinner the first night and explain the situation. They may be willing to prepare steak for her even though it isn't on the lunch menu - with it ordered a day ahead.

At 96, if she wants a steak at lunch I bet princess will make it happen!

Not to be rude but Princess wants younger people indoctrinated and hooked on cruising to give them the revenue for next 50 years.

Please ask the head waiter to make this happen and I hope you will be accommodated.
