Best beach on Labadee

If you want quiet, I would do a cabana at Nellie's. The beach will be more crowded, but in a cabana that should not affect you. It is a small beach, so less people. Columbus Cove is the best beach, IMO, if you plan to go into the water. It is much bigger than Nellie's so it does not feel as crowded, but there is a lot going on there (lunch, vendors, Aqua Park, etc.) Adrenaline Beach, where the clam shells are, is also nice, but the water can be a bit rougher and there can be a bit more wind.

Can you rent beach chairs or Clam shells at Columbus Beach? Is it easy to get to from the ship?

No need to rent beach chairs at any of the beaches on Labadee - all the beach chairs are free. If you have one of the locals help you set it up, they will wait for a tip, but it is not required. The clam shells are only available on Adrenaline Beach. They are basically a half dome set up over two beach chairs together to give you shade. Columbus Cove and Nellie's Beach have plenty of trees with lots of shade so there really is no need for a clam shell at those beaches.

Getting to the beaches is super easy. You can walk from the ship, or, if you prefer, you can take a free tram. The trams stop at all of the beaches as well as other spots. Columbus Cove is the very last tram stop. Walking to Columbus Cove will probably take you about 20 minutes at an average pace, but you can do it in 15 if you take the shortcut via Nellie's Beach and under the water slide. That way you avoid all of the vendors and the hill.
