Explorer of the sea - Promenade room for 2 people + infant?

There are two of us plus an infant. Do you know if it's possible to book a promenade room (says it sleeps 2) and have a crib for the baby (total = 3)? Or would that break some occupancy rule for the ship?

How old is the infant? Some itineraries require infants to be 6 months old.

You would need a cabin that sleeps three based on lifeboat capacity. They count passengers, not ages, for lifeboats, regardless of age/size of passenger.

I would check with RC as occasionally people have reported they were allowed to add a pack-and-play (they don't supply full size cribs; it's actually a porta crib/pack-and-play) to a 2-person cabin. It might depend if lifeboat muster stations are full for that particular sailing.

Assume you know that infant will pay 3rd person passenger rate plus gratuities. No price break for children.

All itineraries require that an infant be at least 6 months old. No child who is not at least six months old may sail on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

If the itinerary has three or more sea days in a row, the child must be at least one year old to sail.

No doubt the packnplay will take up floor space. If one finds a spot to stash the coffee table it could fit there and still allow adults to get to bathroom at night. It will probable fit better in a promenade room than an regular inside cabin or small ov cabin.
