Labadee- what to do walking distance from port?

There are many threads down the board on Labadee.

 

This is a "private island" type situation. You don't have to spend any money here. You can lay on the beach and swim. Eat at the buffet, and a number of other things without spending a penny. Yes, there will be excursions and activities that have a cost. But you can have a relaxing day with any $$$ out of your pocket.

looking for things to do that are within a couple miles from port.

 

 

Altho Lab' is a part of Haiti and not a 'private island' the compound is closed to the outside. Except for some limited, and controlled, contact thru excursions you can not exit the compound and just 'explore' ......

 

 

This is why things like the PWC rentals are done as a tour with a follow me approach. You are NOT to go ashore just outside the fence line and interact .....

somewhat like the Naval Station at Guantanamo Cuba where a number of Cuban locals come thru a special gate each day to work ... but US folks are not allowed to visit the other side .....

Bocce Ball (Free)

Hammocks (Free)

Snorkling (Free - but very few fish)
