GTY Rooms

For some reason our TA booked our upcoming cruise on the Encore as a GTY. We leave in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if Seabourn typically assigns a specific room prior to the cruise or at the pier.....

I’ve done an OB gty twice on SB and ended up in nicely located V6s on deck 7 and 8. Suite assignment usually comes in 2 weeks to 10 days prior to sailing.

I would also suggest that you have a word with your TA. They should never book a suite category without your express permission. You need to tell them what category to book (not the other way around). Or perhaps look for another TA who is more upfront during the booking process.

Thanks for all of the feedback! Location doesn't really matter to us, all that much, although it's nice having a room assignment prior to boarding day lol We have 11 days until the cruise, so I'll keep checking the website ;)
