Do you generally know how long a Captain will stay with a ship, I'm sailing on the Summit in January and am hoping that Captain Kate will still be there.

Do you generally know how long a Captain will stay with a ship, I'm sailing on the Summit in January and am hoping that Captain Kate will still be there.

The rotation is normally 12 weeks which COULD mean that Captain Kate will be on until January 14+/- .

However the sudden death of Captain Bouzakis (Reflection) and the move by Captain Nestoroudis (Equinox) to the Edge project might create a ripple on all future assignments.

Thanks for the info. I will be boarding the Reflection in 10 days and glad to see my favorite Silhouette captain will be here.!

Captain Peppas just left Silhouette for vacation Sept 30.

Captain D. Kafetzis left Silhouette for Reflection so there is an unfilled slot which may be for Captain Peppas or for further rotations.

Arno, do you know how long hotel directors and cruise directors are contracted? You said the captains rotate after 12 weeks, what about other staff?

Which Celebrity ship is Alejandro on?

Alejandro was on the Infinity but is now on leave and has been replaced by Luigi. I don't believe anyone has posted if he is known to be going back to Infinity. When we were left that ship in early May, Alejandro once again took over from Luigi so that seems to be the pattern so far.

We met Capt. Kafetzis now on Reflection and he said he will be the next two months on board and will have two more rotations on Reflection next year. So it seems he has left "his" Silhouette because rumors say that he will be one of the Captains on the Edge.

I heard the same rumour.

Captain Costas goes for Edge training in June.

With Captains Costas and D Kafetzis leaving Equinox and Reflection, my guess is that the two vacancies will be filled through rotation.

Let the speculation begin on who will move to EQ and RF and who will be promoted to Master.

Captain Alex was on during our just completed cruise and he was very personable and always funny. You cannot do wrong with either Kate or Alex on Summit.

He is on the way to St Nazaire to shoot a promotional video for Edge and back to EQ oct 26. Captain Manetas is on equinox for one cruise.

Has arrived on the "CS" do you mean Celebrity Summit...?? Met Arjan on a January cruise when he first came on board the SIlhouette...great addition to Celebrity with an impressive history just coming from "The World Residence at Sea".
