Clearwater Beach Hotels

Would love to stay on the beach before my cruise. I know it's a reasonable drive from TPA to Clearwater Beach. Any recommendations for a stay on the beach?

Pull up Google Maps and note the hotels don't seem to be right ON the beach. They are a road or two away.

Leave a good amount of time to get back to Tampa, because the trafiic takes more time than you would think to get back. Here again, use Google Maps to be aware of toll roads.

It is a beautiful beach, and worth your travel time!

in this area there are MANY hotels right on the beach .... expand your search a bit south towards Madeira Beach and John's Pass

only a few minutes south from what you are looking at ....

Thank you LadyShiva and Capt_BJ. I've stayed in IRB a few times but it's been quite a while. I've never went further north to Clearwater, so I wasn't sure.
