Customs form no longer required

Below is the departure page on the Oasis from two weeks ago. States US. Customs no longer requires form 6059B,Phone app. or reporting unless you exceed limit. Check out both pages. Bob The Villages, Florida

We first noticed this in June in Miami after completing a cruise on Equinox. Not sure if it applies to all ports or only to certain ones.

Yeah, two things surprised us on our last cruise out of PC....first no customs form...second...disembarkation

went way faster!! :D

Back in May in San Juan we still had to fill out the form

Still had to fill out form departing Anthem in July. Must just be certain ports of departure/return.

We did not have to fill them out on departure from Harmony in FLL on August 19.

Just filled them out on Saturday from the Anthem

We had to fill them out in June in Vancouver after a Radiance southbound cruise.

Looks like this change is just for the Florida ports.

Definitely sounds like a Florida port thing.

We got off a Carnival ship in Fort Lauderdale in mid-August and didn't have to fill the forms out.

It was a nice relief. Not that those forms were hard to do, but I liked not doing it for once!

Depends on Port. Customs trying it out.

They were not needed in Tampa, even coming from Cuba, a couple of weeks ago.

On Harmony right now. Cabin attendant dropped off our Customs Form tonight. Always seems like when they give it to you in the cabin, you will need it in the terminal.

Just returned 8/20-8/27 Allure of the Seas - Port Everglades - and we did not need custom forms. Super fast disembarkation. They called bag tag numbers 1-30, we disembarked deck 5, two locations, picked up our bags, showed Customer Officer our passports/birth certificate and out the terminal.

BTW - one of the best cruises to date, the boat is awesome

No customs forms in Seattle either returned from the Explorer 8/11.

So...if no forms are needed for Florida ports...if you do express walk off...you just walk off????

Yes, everything else at Customs is the same as always - they just don't ask for the form any more.

Were you on the Western or Eastern ports? I'll be doing the Western cruise and hope no form is needed for us!

I just returned from a Royal Caribbean (Radiance of the Seas) Eastern Caribbean out of Galveston and did not need one(!).

Yes. We still needed passports, just not customs declarations.

Lol! Just assumed after having seen half the Caribbean and two ports in Mexico I might need- wait for it- a customs document! Silly me. Next time I'll stock up on Cohibas!!!
