Hello all,

Need some help deciding which cabin to book on the Sapphire..we've sailed several times with Princess

however never booked a cabin forward of the front elevators.

Hubby feels the motion and Its a 28 day trip so need to make the right choice.

The only cabins available are either C241 ...possible motion ?

or Plaza deck 327 behind the art gallery concern about plaza is possible noise from the casino above ?

Anyone stayed in either of these areas ?

Appreciate any feedback, thoughts..

Thank you

You don't give much info as to what you are booking on the Sapphire.

My tendency would be to err toward the Caribe deck. Without knowing about your mobility or preferences, the further from the activities of the plaza is better for me.

Thanks, we have no mobility issues, just want a quiet cabin that doesn't feel too much motion

Not sure whether Caribe 241 is too far forward so hubby would feel the motion ??

My wife is very susceptible to all types of motion sickness so like your husband location is important.

She would much prefer being 5 decks lower for more stability on Plaza deck & being closer to a midship location. She would be more concerned about motion sickness than any potential noise from casino. I've read posts from passengers in outside P300s cabins under the casino who didn't mention noise isiises. On Plaza deck you're close to the Piazza & easy access to the IC.

That's merely her opinion because we've never stayed in the cabin & we would search online for additional information.

I would say if you are concerned about movement between the 2 cabins you mentioned of course on Caribe which is forward and a higher deck will produce more.

I would take the Plaza deck cabin. Centrally located to the piazza area.

Have not heard of noise issues from the casino above.

I sailed in P323 on the Star Princess which looks to be the same as the Sapphire. It was ablsolutely the worst cabin ever for noise. Seemed to come from above, below and in the area of the art gallery every night. The noise from the entertainment in the Plaza was also very loud until about midnight each night and seemed to echo through the the open space of the art gallery.

We were so happy to be upgraded on that Alasks cruise in 2015 and were so disappointed in the noise level. Never had a bad experience before or since but I know I will avoid this area on all future cruises even though the location is ideal.

I sailed on Plaza on the Sapphire in the 300 range and loved it. Didn't hear any noise from the Casino. It was nice to take a quick walk down the hall in the early morning and grab a cup of coffee at he coffee bar. I have also sailed once in a 200 series cabin on the Sapphire - balcony on Baja and didn't feel much motion. I guess I would suggest you go with Plaza just to be sure.
