How to "Bid on an Upgrade"?

I'm not even sure what "bidding on an upgrade" means and how to do it... but I see it mentioned on a CC thread. What is it and how do you do it?

You're going to have to be more specific. Bid on an upgrade for what? If you saw this in a thread, maybe ask your question in that thread.

The messages that I saw were about bidding - and getting - an update on a ship cabin. Like going from basic to balcony...a more deluxe cabin, etc. Someone said its like an auction...?

They're the ones talking about it - ask them.

Sounds like something that is offered by one cruise line. Not knowing which one makes it hard for us to answer. I can tell you it is not offered by Princess. Maybe others can eliminate other lines

I believe that is an NCL thing. Ask on that forum here. EM

Pretty sure Norwegian is the only lines that allows you to bid for upgrades. I suggest going to the Norwegian forum to do your research.
