Rare Kmkub Posted November 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I'm interested in hearing about your pickup from the port via Uber. We either need to park-n-ride two cars or we need two Uber XLs. Uber is a bit more expensive, but would be worth it if it's less hassle than the shuttles. Thoughts? Rare Keith1010 Posted November 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Uber does a great job. I highly recommend it. Keith
Rare JamesEM Posted November 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Avoid the shuttles and go with Uber, less of a hassel.

sbell1 Posted November 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2017 We took Uber to the Port Everglades but used a taxi/van to go from cruiseport to airport afterward. We had an early flight so self disembarked and went directly to the taxi stand. No wait, boarded a taxi/van and off we went. We asked our Uber driving who dropped us off about getting Uber after cruise and he said it would be easier to just take the taxi to the airport. There will be just the two of us in January. Thank you.

Should be about $15+tip -- do not let the cab driver tell you stories about a minimum fare or flat rate fare; pay what's on the meter and don't be afraid to ask a cop at FLL to mediate any fare dispute. A few bad apple cab drivers (especially the crooks in Philly  ) have pushed me to almost exclusively use Uber or Lyft.

There were four of us and the other couple paid the fare. I am thinking they gave him a $20 that included tip.
MWD Posted November 17, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2017 We just got off the Allure at the end of October. Took a taxi to FLL airport and the charge was $13 not including tip.
