NCL Elite tier perks

I have only met one Elite player in my three years of cruising and gambling.

Any Elite players out there have any feedback on the tier perks? Do you use the roundtrip transportation? Any trouble having your DSC paid? Any issues with getting the shore ex credit?

Any other tips and tricks I should know? (I made Elite on my last cruise and am looking forward to the perks on my cruise this weekend!)

Thanks in advance!

~ Nancy :)

I was hoping you would get responses I could learn from. I just made Ruby but perhaps one day I will be Elite;)

I can tell you that I just returned from the Escape and I asked about getting the priority VIP disembarkation. The host tried to get me the golden bag-tags, etc, but ended up only able to offer the yellow which is what I get as Platinum Plus anyway. Hope they give Elite the extra VIP disembark with no lines.

Hard to answer that question as I have been in suites for my last five NCL cruises, so I already get priority disembarkation. I would think that as Elite, they would make it happen if I asked ...

You would think they would for Elite even if not in a suite. If you ever drop back to a regular cabin, let us know;)

I had read somewhere on this board a few months ago that this was also given to CAS Ruby and you needed to set it up with the casino host. The OP said they were told a place to meet and given Golden tags. Now I've been in a Haven Spa Suite once with those tags, but I had to leave from the Haven proper to get the special disembarkation.

On another cruise, we were on the Pearl as part of a VIP Casino invited group. We were also given Golden tags and told to meet at a specific place where we were allowed off the ship as soon as it cleared. Others who tried to join us there without the Golden tags were directed to the other end of the ship to join that huge line. When I asked on the Escape, the Exec Host told another host to get me the tags and info from customer services. He said he would have for me the following day. The next day he apologized and said they were only allowing the Haven guests. I guess it's one of those things that might be allowed on the smaller ships? I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't heard of this being available for Ruby from the other poster. I know we don't get Haven perks, but its hard to know what Ruby qualifies for.

Hope you enjoy your hard earned Elite status!

I have been Ruby for years and a friend of mine is Elite. In regards to the Ruby benefits, you do get priority disembarkment. I use it all the time. You do need to go to the casino host to set this up because most casino workers do not know about it.

As for the benefits of the Elite tier. We have used the limo a few times and it is nice to arrive in style and not have to pay for your transportation.

Honestly, for the amount of money you have to gamble to get to elite versus ruby. I feel the benefits for elite are a little on the weak side.

I have been elite for 2 years and the perks have been 1,000 obc, 300 PP shore excursion credit, all charges for daily housekeeping/dining fees paid, limo pickup/return up to 25 miles each way, any beverage- ultra premium served in casino. We have always been comped haven from haven spa suite to owner’s suite, we use shore excursion credit for helicopter or plane trip or a cabana on GSC/Harvest Cay. The casino host also will remove other charges at end of cruise depending on play. They ask what kind of treats/wine we like and send usually 3/4 times a week. So if we travel comped haven our fees are only what we choose to give our butler, concierge, and housekeeper.
