Won a "Free" Cruise

First time posting here. I recently returned from a 5 night Carnival Valor cruise. I was the lucky winner of a free cruise that Carnival announced on the last night in the casino. During the picture taking, document signing, and rules explanation I remember the hostess stating in order to be able to take advantage of the free cruise, I would have to enter the slot tournament. I haven't called to inquire about the eligibility requirements yet as I would like to know if anyone knows how this works. How much is the entry fee? What other fees and/or taxes would I be responsible for? If anyone has any information on this, I'd like to know before making the decision to call and accept. Thank you.

I suggest calling them as they, the promo organizer, will probably be more in a position to give you very specific answers to the rules you have in question.

I have never heard of it like that.

I have won the slot tournament and gotten a free entry into the big slot tournament cruise, but you pay for your room.

I would call the number and ask how it works.

I think the big slot tournament is a $500 entry fee.
