First time in Bermuda and an overnight stop. DD and son-in-law will be on Carnival Pride on a 7 night cruise. They arrive on Wednesday at 8:30 am and leave Friday at noon. At night, are they required to be back on board by a specific time? Any idea what time the shops and restaurants open/close? Thanks!

I'm sorry, is that a question or a statement that they have to be back on board at a certain time? Are they sure about having to be back on board? One of the lovely advantages of being in Bermuda for several days is being able to stay out in the evening to take advantage of local events. Restaurants and bars generally serve until 10 PM, and I've stayed out in Hamilton until about 10 PM. The trick is to have a plan to get back to the dockyard as the ferries only run to certain hours. During the time we were there last we stayed late for Hamilton Nights and there were ferries running until 9:30 or 10 PM, but those were extended hours for the event in Hamilton. The restaurants at the dockyard serve until 10 and bars are open to between midnight and 3 AM depending on the place. Laurie

When your cruise ship overnights in Bermuda, once you leave the crulse ship, the only time you have to be back onbaord is 30 minutes before departure.

We sailed Pride last month on the same itinerary. As SailBadtheSinner said, the only requirement is that you be back on board 30 minutes before sailing on Friday. They made clear on our sailing that the gangway would be staffed 24 hours, so if you come back late from a night out you're okay. Having said that, your late-night activities are limited. The first night we played mini golf right at Dockyard and re-boarded the ship for the night around 9:30. While there were some pubs open, the area was really quiet.
