Are Separate Check-Ins Common?

We sail soon, from Miami.

I want to get aboard early, brawl with my fellow plebs at the buffet, and face the ire of the Rebellious Fish.

My wife intends to take a morning tour of Miami.

If she checks in a couple hours after I do, will there be any drama for that, or does NCL see that all the time?
