Available Cabins

Just curious

How do you know when the cruise cabins are filling up? How do you know which cabins are left? So when I searched on carnival.com for connecting cabins it did not show any available, so I called customer service to book and they were able to offer a lot more cabins that were not showing on the website?

I was able to get 2 connecting cabins booked. We have more friends interested in going and other than calling is there a way to see all the available cabins when on the website?

Thanks

No unfortunately. I've done many mock bookings and the same 10 or so cabins always show up on the ship/deck I'm interested in. Unless one of those is booked, nothing changes. There's probably a reason they do that but I've not come up with a logical one.

They only show 10 available in each category at a time.

If there's less than 10, then that is all of them.

All cruiselines do this because they don't want the competition to know how well (or not) bookings are doing.

It also creates a sense of urgency.

OMG they "only" have 10 cabins left! I better go ahead and book it then! ;)

I was thinking OMG they only have these many cabins left?

I called my friend in a rush,,,, then called customer service and BAM, lots of cabins available!!!

Either way we got the rooms we really wanted, price is OK, if we get no price drops we are ok with the price paid. BUT of course hoping for price drops:)

Good to know for my other friends who have yet to book, no a major rush now to get them booked, they can check and book when they are ready.
