Ex-Cunard Adventurer sold for scrap

Another ex-Cunard ship, Adventurer, is heading to the scrap yard. Earlier this year it was announced that she was to have returned to service in 2014 but those plans are cancelled.

Ex-Cunard Countess, whose entire superstructure appears to be burned out, will likely soon join her.:(

Thanks for this link....very sorry to see it....she still looked like a proper ship but definitely getting a tad old for cruising I guess.

We sailed on her in the early '80s when she was Sunward II.....she was a pretty little ship back then atho cabins were pretty small by today's standards, and pretty spartan, even the decent ones!

And so another oldie lands at the breakers.....
