Norwegian Getaway Premium Internet

Hi, How good is the Premium Internet on the NCL Getaway? Thank you :D

Not sure what "good" is. It is satellite internet where every bit/byte needs to travel 23,000 miles to and from the satellite causing latency. It is shared bandwidth (you could be sharing the same "line" with a few thousand other people). You are subject to the coverage of the satellite (satellite providers focus coverage on high demand/high profit areas). You are subject to rain and weather attenuation, degrading the satellite signal. If you are talking about the Baltics cruise, you also are faced with low look angles to the stalactite.

"Premium" only gets you the port used for streaming unblocked. So,,,, it depends on what your fellow passengers are doing and satellite coverage in your area.

Here's a speed check on the Getaway Premium internet from a few days ago https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=56785440&postcount=121

Here's a speed check on the Getaway Premium after leaving Cozumel last Friday night (service was unusable). https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=56813645&postcount=240
