Hi Everyone,

With the Oasis about to debut for the public, it would be great if all future cruisers would cooperate so that we can obtain information on as many cabins as possible and get Cruise Critic to make this an official sticky. With a great big thanks to Donna who created this for the Celebrity Solstice class ships, it will be great for people sailing on Oasis or Allure in the future and those wanting to book cabins.

Please add any relevant information that you think would be useful. I will add a post after this one with just the questions that you can "Reply To" and add your information without copying and editing this first post. If we get enough response, I'll try and do a spreadsheet with the information.

Please name your post with the title "Cabin # xxxx" so that those searching for information on a specific cabin can locate those easier with the search this forum option by using the cabin number that they need info on.

After the questions please add any comments concerning location - close to elevators, far from specific venues, etc. Also, post links to your photos of specific cabins or attach photos to the post.

Deck - 14

Cabin # - 14148

Class – D6

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk -

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Forward port

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – no problems

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– view was perfect...could see up, down, left, right. Excellent view of the port side bridge "wing"

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - balcony was standard size for the Oasis, but seemed a bit larger than most other balconies I have been on.

Was wind a problem? no

Any specific problems with this cabin? very few electrical outlets and they were located in inconvenient locations.

Any other comments? Deck 14 forward is a perfect location. Just a few steps forward, and you have a door that leads outside to a huge viewing area that spans the entire 206 ft width of the ship including "wings" over the bridge. Just a few steps aft leads to the elevator bank with access to Central Park, The Promenade, the spa, dining room, entertainment place, and the solarium is one deck above. The only possible drawback is that the kids area is right across the hall. There is no entrance to the kids area from that hallway, but noise may be a concern when the kids club is in operation. I would definitely suggest deck 14 forward for all of my clients.

Any specific problems with this cabin? The air conditioning was not working correctly. We had it turned all they way to cold & it was still too warm. Apparently our whole section of cabins had the same problem. Our cabin steward reported it & they promised to fix it.

Deck - 9

Cabin # - 299

Class – B1

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Back Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – It is connecting, but was quiet. Not sure if anyone was even in the cabin next to us

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Note that boardwalk cabins have a direct view into the other boardwalk cabins. View to the aft of the Aqua Theater was almost half obstructed by the roof of the Boardwalk Bar. A Boardwalk balcony cabin further aft would give you an almost unobstructed view of the Aqua Theater shows.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal. Curved rail with table and 2 chairs

Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Bed near?(balcony or bath) near balcony

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue deck 15 (pool deck) is wider than 14, partly obstructed view by maintenance gondola on deck 15

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? larger size than average for this class, first cabin on the back hump (Owner´s Suite is middle cabin on the back hump)

Cabin # 12229

Class C1 Central Park Balcony

Location Just about midship

Bed near?(balcony or bath) near balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) No problems with noise. This cabin is directly beside a door that with a sign that says "Ice and Detergent" so I assume this is where the cabin stewards get the ice however we heard nothing.

Balcony View - No obstructions.

Balcony Size? Oversized. This cabin and the ones directly above and below as well as the ones directly opposite have balconies that are double the width of regular balconies.

Cabin - 8650

Midship starboard side,

Cat - D6

Balcony - standard size, but I like the larger table. no wind, but we were only cruising between Florida and the Bahamas at a slow speed, so don't know how it would be during a cruise

Bed near closet

Connecting cabin - no sofa, just one chair plus desk chair- no noise, but don't know if someone was in conencting cabin

Location was very convenient, about 10 rooms from elevators, near Dazzles, entrance to Central Park - no noise at all from Dazzles

As others have said, rooms are much tighter than D cabins on other classes

and outlets are not easily accessible. Not much storage space in these cabins, two drawers in desk only, and six shelves in closet. Also, placement of bed near closet made accessibility difficult.

If you can, try to get a room with the bed near the balcony.

Also, I did see other cabins, and a friend was in a Boardwalk view cabin. It wasn't noisy at night.....however, when the zipline started at 9 a.m., he could hear the screams from the zipliners!

Ocean View Balcony Cabin 6174

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deck - 6

Cabin # - 6174

Class – D2

Midship port

Beds were near the balcony which left little room to get to the balcony door. I still think having the bed(s) closer to the balcony is much better than having them near the bathroom.... it gave the cabin a roomier feel.

Connecting cabin with 6176. Occasional "phantom noise" from deck below. The lifeboat rigging could have caused the noise but I can't be sure.

Balcony View - Excellent view of the port side...lifeboats are one deck below and protrude about 1/2 their with past the railing, but this did not really obstruct the view much.

Balcony Size? Balcony was standard size for the Oasis, but seemed a bit larger than most other balconies I have been on.

Was wind a problem? no

Any specific problems with this cabin? very few electrical outlets and they were located in inconvenient locations.

Any other comments? I found out that, if you have the balcony door open, or even the handle unlocked, the a/c system will not operate in the cabin.

Hi, I don't know why it won't open so I am sending the link for the webpage I created. It is attached under oasis cabins at the bottom of the page. Please try and see if you can access it from there. I've emailed the admin as to why it isn't accepting small pdf files.

Thanks and here is the link http://sites.google.com/site/oasiscruisers/

Cabin-7664

Cat-D8 balcony starboard side

location-toward the back end of mid ship near elevator (no noise from people going to elevator though

No noise problems at all in our experience but thats because everyone was out of their cabins. The walls are pretty thin in this ship.

Adequate drawer space for two people we carried 2 large pieces of luggage with three carry on pieces.

The ride in this ship was very smooth no sway feeling after cruise at all.

Wind was not a problem here. Smokers on balcony a bummer though.

Balcony view was excellent great to watch us going into the new pier in Labadee.

Easiest ship to get around in on any ship I have ever been on.

Near every elevator is a touch screen which will give you selections on anything you want to do or go to.

You then can push MAP IT and it will tell you exactly how to get to where you are going. Never got lost.

The room position on the 7 deck though does not go all the way across the ship though.

If you enter on the port side of the 7 deck at the back of the ship across from your room you will have to go up or down one deck to get to the starboard side rooms

Peace

Cabin # -10240

Class – Owners Suite

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Center Hump

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Does Not Apply

Quiet Cabin - Yes, Very (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) –

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Being center hump the view is one of the best on the ship.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Huge balcony.

Was wind a problem? Not at all

Any specific problems with this cabin? Yea....it will be hard to book anything less.

Any other comments?

Cabin positives:.....The Owners Suites on Oasis has some changes from Freedom Class....they have made the bedroom more separate and private from the living room...also now have 2 TV's verse only the one rotating one on Freedom Class.

Cabin less positives:...... However just like all Oasis cabins....while still a huge cabin the bathroom as shrunk down a bit compared to Freedom Class....also instead of those huge slider on Freedom Class, you now have only one single slider the size of a standard balcony....the other windows are all fixed and don't open.......no access from the bedroom area to the balcony....not a real big deal but I like the openness of window on Freedom Class better....better views out;)

Deck - 6 (Boardwalk)

Cabin # - 6668 (right next to the aft elevators and stairs on the Starboard side)

Class – D8

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Ocean View balcony, located right by the aft elevators and staircase on the Starboard side.

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet cabin, couldn't hear anyone walking by even though this cabin is right by the stairs and everyone has to walk past it to get to their cabin if they are in the same hallway.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– No obstructions, no privacy concerns.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? Door Opens Out into the hallway (note, many cabins on the Oasis are like this. It was awkward at first, but I got used to it. I still prefer doors that swing into the cabin.

Any other comments? Closet is hard to get things in and out of since it is right next to the sofa. This would be a problem in most rooms on the Oasis since that is just how the cabins are layed out now.

Deck - 6 Ocean View Balcony

Cabin # - 6570 right off the forward elevators.

Class – D4

Front Starboard | right above the 3rd lifeboat

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – closet

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet cabin, couldn't hear anyone walking by

Balcony View - Slight obstruction with lifeboats right below. If you stand at the railing and look straight down you see a bit of the lifeboat. You do not look straight down to the water. When seated on balcony you do not see them at all.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? We always had to shut the door as it did not close automatically behind us. It has on other ships.

Any other comments?

Did cabin crawl and personally preferred the bed by the window configuration. We had bed by the closet & when husband was sitting on bed his knees almost touch the closet

Loved this location and deck..accessibility to the Promenade and Central Park was easy

also right around the corner from the Diamond Club

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Front Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very Quiet

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– You can see part of a rescue vessel if you are looking straight down but it is not a big deal.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? The cabin is great but has very little storage

Any other comments? We would pick this cabin again.

Deck - 11

Cabin # - 11200

Class – D1

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk -

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Midship Port. Bed near bath.

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet. Not connecting.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– No obstructions. Could see bridge wing and deck 16 bump-out.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Larger balcony hence D1. Would opt for a lower category next time because larger balcony wasn't worth the additional $$.

Was wind a problem? No wind problems.

Any specific problems with this cabin? Too small for 3 people. No place to move after 3rd lower bed is made in the evening. Hard to get to balcony with bed made.

Any other comments? No cold water for the whole cruise. All hot. Maintenance unable to resolve the problem. Much less storage space than other ships. Location of closet not user friendly. Safe much smaller than previous ships. RCTV upgraded and MORE user friendly. Nice (and bigger) TV. Again, very tight for more than 2 adults.

Deck - 12

Cabin # - 202

Class – D1

Front Port

Bed near balcony

Quiet Cabin - a few bumps and knocks from connecting balcony room, but almost total quiet

Balcony View - Poor view of Labadee; chose Port side so as to see when docked. Would choose Starboard next time.

Balcony Size? D1 hump - plenty of room for two

Was wind a problem? - Yes, disappointing. Calm weather but far windier than on other vessels of similar balcony location.

Any specific problems with this cabin? Perhaps true of all balconies on Oasis, but no light on balcony. Couldn't read out there at night, which was a bummer. No other problems.

Any other comments? Mmmm... new cabin smell... hope that lingers until our next trip in January. Chose room for D1, but was midway between staircases. Next time would pick closer to one stairs or the other - those extra steps add up after a few days!

Deck - 6

Cabin # - (6)688

Class – D8

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Aft Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Near balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Life boat is located under cabin. This cabin is over the first lifeboat after the gap near midship. While you can not see the lifeboat when sitting on your cabin it does block your view of the water but only when looking straight down. Not a big deal.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments? We thought this cabin, and Deck 6, were convenient to many things on the ship. We did have a light on our balcony but the switch was hidden by the drapes.

Deck - 11

Cabin # - 728

Class – D7

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Aft Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – it seemed very quiet on the first 5 days then on the last 2 mornings there was quite a bit of banging and the door to a crew area was being slammed quite a bit before 7am. My assumption was that it was the delivery for room service.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– This was the last balcony to the aft and there is a public area that looks over the Aqua theater directly adjacent to the balcony. Anyone that is in that area can look around the partition and see the balcony and look in the room if the curtains are open.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal all around

Was wind a problem? NO not at all

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments? I would not take this location again due to the loud door banging early in the morning and the possible privacy issues from the adjacent public area.

Royal Family Suite

Deck - 9

Cabin # - 644

Class – RFS

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Near Port Side Rear Elevators - mid ship

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –

Master Bed near balcony with seperate balcony door

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) –

connecting cabin very unobtrusive

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue–

beginning of back hump - so much room on the balcony - lots of privacy

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? -

Balcony was huge - same size as JS

Was wind a problem?

no

Any specific problems with this cabin?

Any other comments?

loved every bit of it! the master bedroom is a completely seperate bedroom and bathroom with a large closet, flat TV and vanity - lots of storage

the living room also has two full closets and plenty of drawers with a fold out (and flat screen)

a full seperate bath (shower only)

and 2nd bedroom has 2 beds & 2 pull downs, a flat screen and its own vanity, drawers and closet.

the balcony was huge, it has 2 full lounge chairs and a table with 4 chairs

this cabin seems like the same size as an owners suite, I prefer the 2 bathrooms but the master bath is very small (like most of the Family suites, it might be a surprise to someone not expecting that) there is a tub, toliet and sink but its not like the other suites - one person at a time and its still small - there is room to stand there and thats it because the vanity space is shared with toliet space, so you can only stand infront of half of the counter.

It does seem bigger in the rooms than in other FS's we've been in.
