Suez Canal cruise vaccinations

We are considering a cruise from Dubai to Italy via the Suez Canal. Does anyone know if you are required to have any specific vaccinations. Also are mosquitos a problem when on board.

We are currently cruising from Dubai to Rome, and we transit the Suez Canal next week. No vaccinations were required. I will post here again about the mosquitoes because if there are any, they will certainly find me.

You should be fine - I've been through in both directions at different times of the year and don't recall mosquitos being an issue either time...

We’ve been through the canal three times and didn’t have to have any vaccinations. We had no problems with mosquitos. The last time we went through was one of our best ever holidays. We went to Petra (from Aquaba) and did an overnight tour to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings from Safaga. The Safaga overnight was a private tour and was very good and exceptionally good value for money. We didn’t have any problems with mosquitoes on either of our tours either.
