Edge Deck Plan Questions - Library? Casino Size?

Would love to hear people's thoughts (or facts) on Edge Deck plan questions:

  • Library - I enjoy the S class Library but haven't seen this on Edge deck plans?
  • Casino - does it appear smaller than S class ships?
  • Deck Plan PDFs - where is the best place to get an up-to-date pdf of Edge deck plans - I can't seem to find it on the Celebrity website.

Not sure if this is a PDF Deck Plan, but go to Celebrity home page, click onMenu at left top, then click on Award Winning Fleet, then click on Celebrity Edge and scroll down where you will find an updated deck plan. You can click on each of the floors. The new dining venues are shown, but still a lot to be filled in at a later date. Hope this helps.

The website [which shall be nameless, per CC guidelines] that compiles all cruise deck plans has the updated Edge plans. But there are still many greyed-out areas until the final reveal.

I can see where the casino does look smaller. On S Class it goes across the whole deck - the opposite side (starboard) of the casino is still grey - maybe additional casino - related area? It's hard to believe they wouldn't make us walk through the casino to get to key places like on other Celebrity ships.

I can't see where they might put a library, card room, IT center - hopefully more news on the 22nd.

Actually on S class ships there are retail shops along the starboard side of the ship next to the casino with the main walkway between.

That's true - I just got off the Summit so was thinking of that design. That grey area would be a good place for shops and we can still walk by the casino in that hallway (and occasionally I just night stop by ;)).

I was thinking those areas looked smaller - S-class actually has 2 floors of shopping, it's hard for me to believe that Celebrity would make less space for people to shop, but if they do I'm guessing it is just an indication that they are looking at other means of making money rather than people just going into stores and buying things. It is always the same stuff.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks for posting...

Do you think BLU will look onto the life boats or over them? Seens outdoor seats are next to them..

Is the Grand Cafe an included venue?

Lost track of all the new venues....

This is the info I found about the Grand Café and it was under complimentary:

-Grand Plaza Café, deck 3, quick service of sweet and savory bites, seating 20 - breakfast and lunch

I thought maybe the front part of Blu might have a view of the lifeboats, but the back half the ocean. If you click on this link and scroll down to Blu and then go to the second picture, the back half of the restaurant shows nice windows viewing the sea. :D

Thank you for that link....We eat dinner fairly early and enjoy the sea view at dinner and breakfast! BLU looks very nice overall.

Enjoyed the other visuals too. One of the dining rooms has crystals like the ones we like in BLU...The only one I did not like the decor in was Tuscan..the yellow was a bit bright and jarring esp contrasted with the black and white stripes.. Prefer the softer tones..like Peach and Aqua. For our first EDGE cruise we'll be in BLU so it won' t affect us...unless we book again with regular dining.

Grand Cafe has few seats..maybe a grab and go type spot?

Cyprus and Blu are the most attractive dining rooms for me, with Normandie and Cosmo next and Luminae and Tuscan less attractive to me. As long as the food is good, will be happy in any of them :D

I think you may be right. The Grand Plaza Café looks like it could be more of a grab and go place with so few seats. I'm wondering what will be around it - ? Guest Relations. Maybe Future Cruises and/or other revenue-generating places (Shore excursions or will they be in Destination Gateway?) - having the draw of a free café may help bring people to the area, and with minimal seats, they may wander around the area (and buy a cruise :)).
