Lost and Found...FOUND!!!

:D:DI just wanted to let you all know what a good experience I had with the Lost and Found Department on NCL. We discovered that we lost our brand new Canon camera on our Epic sailing 2/17-24/2018. I filed a claim right away when I realized that it was left behind somewhere on the ship (maybe in our cabin or the Garden Cafe). The bad thing was that it had no identification on it, so when I filed the claim, I was only able to tell them that it was a Canon camera in a black case with an SD card inside. Needless to say, I expected to hear nothing back.

I was told that I would hear something within 10 days...I heard nothing! A week ago I called guest services, and a very nice lady explained the lost and found process and told me not to give up hope...she said that I should be hearing from them soon. Well, yesterday I received a phone call that the camera was found! I had to identify it for them by some of the pictures on it, and it is on its way back to us. Happy ending to the lost camera. Kudos to NCL for finding it for us!

Gotta thank the people that turned it in as opposed to NCL.

She said it might have been in her cabin.

Might have been found by a NCL crew member.

We had positive results on the Jewel. My niece lost her phone. We searched the last 2 days.

It had been found in the casino and our concierge emailed me and arranged for a current suite guest at the time who lived minutes away met my BIL.

So grateful to all.

You are ASSuming that NCL was not the ones who found it. In either case, I am sure what you were trying to say is "go to thank NCL AND The people who found it".

Right ON!! In the least NCL's folks got it sent back to OP! No matter who found it....ALL deserve KUDOS and THANKS!!!:halo:

I ASSume nothing. I said thy gotta thank the people that found it.

Sometimes the NCL apologists cannot read anything without getting their dander up. There was no criticism of NCL...mellow out folks. :)

The "as opposed to NCL" part makes your post an assumption. It has nothing to do with being an apologist or anything else. Sometimes people will find any reason to find fault with a company or to look at them in a negative light.

Wow.

Apologist.

Awesome. I had left my iPad in my cabin on breakaway. They found it sent it back to me.

Well, I think we can all agree that the OP would NOT have gotten their camera back without the help of the NCL Lost & Found Dept.

Whoever found it found a camera with NO identification. Whether it was an honest passenger or an honest crew member they contributed along with L & F.

The result: happy ending.

When I spoke with NCL lost and found they told me that it was found in the Garden Cafe (apparently by a crew member) where we had eaten breakfast. It was sent to the lost and found department at NCL headquarters, and finally made its way back to us. Definitely an honest crew member!!!:)

You ASSumed that it was not found by NCL, point blank, end of story. Pardon me but your slip is showing. Don't y'all just love it when they are caught and there is no way out? If you can't read the boards without getting your dander up perhaps you should stop doing so.

Double WOW

Something that is useful in getting your lost property back to you is those little address labels or

those that you make up on your computer printer.

Stick them somewhere on a camera inside or on a battery cover opening. Have a neck strap look

for a place to put one there. Another thought make the first picture on every memory card a photo

of your address. Worried about security of your home address make it your email.

If it acceptable and something that you would do put a $ REWARD $ for return.

Sometimes the pictures are worth more than the camera - weigh the merits of what you would do.

So glad the camera was reunited with the owner reminds me of more touching lost and found stories

of children who have lost their stuffed toy and the measures taken to locate that precious item to

return it to the kid so he can sleep in peace at night with his security piece !

Really great news, OP, I'm very happy for you!

I highly recommend these Maverick labels (link below) that you can order for very little cost, and that come in different sizes and colors; see link below. (You can include your phone number and/or email address if you'd like.) We put them on all of our electronics, on the *outside* where a finder would see them, e.g., on a camera bottom, or on the back of a Kindle. Unobtrusive, but would be spotted if we lost the device and someone found it.
