Obstructed view cabins Ovation of the Seas

Recommended Posts

I am making a booking on Ovation of the Seas in an obstructed view balcony cabin. Cabins available are 7702, 6660 and 6290. Could anyone please advise which would be the best of these cabins or suggest another obstructed view.

The view from 6660 & 6690 is pretty well obstructed by lifeboat davits. But it is a very very large balcony, and you can still sit out there in comfort.

It depends on what is most important to you.

You can still see the sky when lying down, and you can see some water when you stand at the rail and look out. But it is an obstructed view.

Again, it's BIG. Here's the deck plan. It is true to reality.

Or go look on RC's website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/ovation-of-the-seas/deck-plans/1772/06

Here is a view from room 6636.

Also watch for what’s underneath your room. Under 6636 is Jamie’s Oliver restaurant. Cleaning in the middle of the night.

Fortunately the OP is looking at 6290, 6660 & 7702. And actually, Jamie's is NOT underneath 6636. It's on the other side of the ship.

Depends if your faceing the blunt end or the sharp end.

If someone is sensitive to cigarette smoke, I’ve heard some bad reports

It doesn’t depend on anything.

The terms Starboard and Port are always defined as if you are looking forward. This eliminates the confusion of using right and left.

Smoking shack on port side deck 5 is aft above cabins X674 to X684 so doesn't have any impact on cabin 7572  which is far forward of that area.

Ships that sail out of Sydney prohibit smoking.  I don't know how long that lasts on a transpacific.

And 7568 and 7572 are far forward of the smoking "bus stop."

We just got of ovation,we had cabin 6646 obstructed deck 6.

It was a fantastic cabin on the hump, next to the suites, the cabin attendant looks after the suites and was the best,Balinese fellow.

Deck 6 has a fire door you can access 270 through the library (avoiding the crowds)and one deck from the promenade.(avoids the lifts)131D182E-A93F-4023-8574-DF90F9C77F11.thumb.jpeg.1da93a6c30dfed617ff65df23f6e9693.jpeg

We slept most nights with the door open, the ocean was only a few decks down and what a lovely sound in the middle of the night.

There wasn’t any extra noise from the promenade,if you hung your head over the railing you could listen to public announcements also there was a little bit of light, not much, that lite the balcony.
