We just booked a cruise to St.Lucia and are dying to get to Jalousie Beach. Can you book a taxi there? Or is the best method to go through a tour company? If so, what are your recommendations? There will be three of us, all adults. Thank you in advance!

A taxi will run around $250 round trip, ride is easily 90 minutes. Readily available right outside the port.. Leave plenty of time for your return, there's only one road back..

Or take a tour, such as the Beach Break by Spencer Ambrose. Speedboat ro the beach, 45-50 minutes, you're first ones there so first pick of free lounge chairs, includes drinks and lunch.. 4-5 hours at beach... Some Other tours that includes stops at Jalousie are Cosol, Herod's, Franks, James, Serenity, etc. These all are around an hour or so of besch time.

We did Spencer Ambrose's Jalousie Beach break in 2013 and LOVED it! We could have taken a tour through the cruise line, but the tour only allowed for 90 minutes at the beach. We love to snorkel but we also love just enjoying the beach and 90 minutes is just too "rushed". We had never done a tour outside of the cruise line before but I'd seen many great reviews of Spencer's tours and they always got cruise ship passengers back to the ship, with time to spare, so we decided to book Spencer's Jalousie Beach break and so happy we did. One our best days ever. Jalousie Beach is gorgeous and with Spencer, you get at least 4 ours at the beach, plenty of time to snorkel and enjoy that beautiful beach. Spencer and those who work for him, including his daughter, are the best and really helped everyone feel welcome. On their tours, buffet style lunch is served on the beach and there's an unlimited supply of bottled water, coke, diet coke, Piton beer, and rum punch. All of that is included in the price of the tour. On the ride back, you'll get a "sea tour", where there are several stops at points of interests and great photo ops. We had plenty of time once back to check out the shops in the cruise center. We had such a great experience that we booked Spencer's Land, Sea, and Beach Adventure on our most recent cruise so we could see more of the interior sites in St. Lucia. Next time we get back, Jalousie Beach Break!
