$25 Last Minute Cruises Really Do Exist, Kind of...

I'm going on the Dream in December and was looking around the Carnival sight on Friday evening. I realized that my VIFP number wasn't showing up on my reservation so I tried messing around with that when I looked to see if there were any VIFP benefits that could impact my upcoming cruise. When I looked at my benefits, it said, $25- 7 and 8 day cruises. I naturally clicked on it and it had a cruise out of Miami and one out Galveston leaving the next morning for $25 each. Just for giggles I clicked on the Galveston cruise and pretended my husband and I would hustle to Texas. It was for an inside cabin and for the two of us with taxes/fees totaled $240 something! I couldn't have gone on this cruise, but we live close enough to Seattle to hop on an Alaska cruise if it ever happens.

Has anyone ever seen this or taken advantage of this?

I got one of these to Alaska in 2015. It was $50 per person plus port fees/taxes but then they gave us each $50 OBC. I had to fly from Tampa to Seattle but I couldn't not go on a cruise at that price.

I also just had a similar deal you're describing and booked the Magic thanksgiving week in a Balcony for not much more than you were quoted. These deals definitely exist.

I got Jacksonville to Bahamas for 5 nights, free just pay port taxes. Booked knowing I couldn't go but it was birthday gift for my mother.

Next day Port Canaveral to Bahamas, 4 nights, $50 pp, 50 OBC. Booked, took my wife for her birthday.

Husband and I both got one. Each of us booked an inside cabin (adjoining) with our kids. 4 of us, 2 cabins, $380 total with $100 total on board credit. Leaving Thursday on the Fantasy. Yay 2 days. This is our first inside, but for the price I am super happy with it.

Man I keep checking for this great offer. I only live an hour from Galveston!

They had several last week from Galveston but they are now gone. I almost pulled the trigger on one for 11/13 but couldn't justify it as I just got back from the Breeze 10/1.

Carnival is really depressing us with these offers! I was getting FREE cruise offers for a lot of different cruises. The only one that would have worked out was sold out once we decided to book. Now my mom is getting $25-$150 cruise deals, with $50 back in OBC, and of course non of these will work out!

You were able to book and not go? Your name did not have to go on the booking?

Too bad there's never any of these out of New York, we'd jump on them in a heartbeat! Not having to spend $800 roundtrip airfare for both of us for a cheap cruise would be the greatest!

All the ones I got were from NY in 2014 on Splendor and 2016 on Sunshine

Sailed Splendor 5X in 2014 because of the prices!:D

No flying is great and I really, really miss the Carnival winter sailings from NY:( It was great while it lasted.

My mother didn't get the offer, only I did, so my name had to be on the booking to get the deal. I even tried changing the name after the fact to substitute someone in my place but I got an error message saying no one in the cabin had the offer.

So she went alone. I got my half of the taxes refunded. Grand total was $87.19, and mom was quite happy.

Could you be very specific as to how to find these offers? I checked the Carnival webiste, so do I have to log in, is it special deals or or what? We too can go on a moments notice, so do you find they come up within days of the cruise or even weeks or more? Only Galveston really works for us but NO could be an option as well. Thanks so much.

I usually get these but they are casino deals. Surprised by person who did not go. Mine always state the person with the certificate must accompany his guest. Just booked a 5 day for tax and port fees out of Charleston. Never know when they will show up on the site but i think because of many cancellations because of port changes they had to fill the boats again. Its all supply and demand.

Well I did decide to pull the trigger and booked a 5 night cruise from MIA on The Sensation. The total for an inside cabin on deck 5 was $231!! I had some Capital One points that I used for the airfare so this will be a very cheap vacation. Leaving on 11/25 and will be 11/30. This will be my first solo cruise so it should be an adventure.
