If you think these are good you should have seen the Princess Casino rate prices this week. $58 cdn for a 5 night cruise.

We seriously considered it. I tried to figure out how to make it work, but not enough time between places to be and vacations

Right now the Summit is free and they are giving you $250 for airfare...lol

Yes, us too. We just got back from Hawaii and leave for Australia in two weeks. My boss would have had a coronary if I'd attempted to take more time.

Checked your first one only then quit. Cheapest Verandah obstructed is $2370 CAD for two. Either you are seeing through a magic lantern or that is one heck of an exchange rate

So... are you advocating everyone only wait until 2-6 weeks to book? And then just get what's left over, assuming it somehow suits them, their employer, family, and flight prices are great?

Cause while that works for some, in some circumstances, there's a lot of other considerations - and if you book a reasonable time out as many need to then you don't get prices like that.

The 9 day one shows up at $399 for a balcony until you go to book it then it turns into $549, which is still a good price. The thing is, none of these prices include taxes, fees, gratuities or any other perk. Another thing, last minute air fare is a killer. Last minute air to Florida, for us, would be over $250 per person, more than we normally pay.

I guess hurricanes will do do to last minute prices. Prior to the storms, eXciting deals prices were nothing great; more in line with what used to be everyday prices.

These are post hurricane prices. I am assuming there has been numerous cancellations past final payment. Additionally, you need to be Ok with the constant port changes.

I agree that if you live within driving distance to the ports and you are retired, don't work or have very flexible work situation these are great deals.

I have to say that while my upcoming cruise currently has fantastic prices, the rate I booked with after I factor in all my perks + what the TA gives me, the price is not that much different than if I were to book right now but I will need to Ok with an Balcony guarantee. The little extra I am paying gives me a great balcony, midship and in the hump.

The prices posted are indeed available from Celebrity and major travel agencies.

We looked at a couple of possibilities for November/December. The four "perks" that have been widely available recently (gratuities, classic beverage package, $300 OBC, and Wi-Fi) are not available when booking at these prices. However, one large agency used by many here did offer gratuities included and $100 OBC. YMMV.

While we found an itinerary that worked perfectly for us, we chose not to book after researching how many ships and passengers would be in each port stop. Apparently the islands that can currently handle cruise ship visits are experiencing extra traffic, because major stops like San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten are "under repair". 5-6 ships in St. Kitts on one day does not sound like a relaxing time to us! But these are some good prices, especially for those who can travel to and from the port of embarkation without incurring significant expense.

I wish we could get close to double those prices in the UK. Just priced up 14 nts on Silhouette in the Med for Sept 2019 and a balcony is over £2700pp, and this is supposedly a discounted launch fare.

Now I know Sterling has depreciated since we kicked the EU into touch, but last year we paid £1700pp for 14 nts to the Baltic on Eclipse, now that's greedy and extortionate.

For those concerned with airfares... South West has a sale on right now that equals the deals on the cruises.

Not to mention Celebrity added a Silhouette 9 day cruise on December 8 for $458 inside/$749 balcony!

Listen to the Master, and repeat it over and over again.

Haven't seen you guys for a couple of years!!! I've only done one on Celebrity lately with most on Royal. My 13 night transatlantic in two weeks was only $531pp with $200 OBC... for an ocean view!

I would also add... Thou shall, ""NOT book through the cruise line"" !!!! :') :loudcry:

It most be regional pricing because I see nothing close to those prices when I sign in.

For the unbelievable deals try looking at on line agencies instead of directly through the cruise line.

I'm not seeing them on celebrity's website either. I'm seeing them on my go to online TA's site (they consistently offer discounts on celebrity). Let me put it this way... if you want togo' on 'vacations' you should look them up. [emoji6]

I'm assuming this is "tongue in cheek" ... These are GREAT prices (:

It is!

There are some amazing deals right now. We just scored a CC balcony for 10 nights with classic drinks for the equivalent of $590 followed by a back to back 11 night AQ1 for the equivalent of $670 also with drinks package.

Amazingly for us they appeared at a really convenient time to take a vacation which rarely happens for us!

But you have to go to the Caribbean...not a fan anymore, but yes, those prices are super cheap.

I have the Edge book at the cheapest price when the TA opened...I must like new and spending more...

A few days ago we booked the 9 night Equinox. We got a 2B cabin, but if we had booked X it would be:

Passenger

Cruise Fare

Taxes & Fees

Total

Guest #1

$399.00

$167.29

$566.29

Guest #2

$399.00

$167.29

$566.29

Grand Total:$1,132.58

+Free Prepaid Gratuities! ($243.00 Value)

+50.00 Onboard Credit

For our 2B it was $1512. + Free Gratuities + $100 OBC from the TA + $200 OBC from Amex Platinum Cruise Benefits.

We actually like NCL better, but we thought this was a good deal. $200 less than what we were looking at for a 7 day Western on the NCL Getaway Thanksgiving week.

Flight back from MIA on November 25 were expensive.

I'm guessing part of it is due to the aging ships. Part due to the hurricanes in the news. We usually find the weeks after Thanksgiving to second week in December to some of the cheapest.
