Wait list question

We are wait listed on the Dec.7th voyager cruise. What do you think the chances are to get on if you are at the top of the list? Anyone have any experience?

Generally there are cancellations even this close in (some only days before). Be sure to stay on top of it so that you are the "chosen" one.

We went on the waitlist for this same cruise at the start of Oct. We called Regent and they told us that if we put 10% down, they would put us at the very top of the list. Don't know if that's a scam by them to get a few dollars of intrest, but it worked. A few days later we were on board.

As my wife said when I told her we were waitlisted..."people die all the time" !!!

We gave the 10% as well last week. We hope to hear by the end of the week. We are booked for the week of the 14th. We wanted a back to back and add a second week. We will just wait it out.

Oh wow, I did not know that Regent did that! That's actually kind of depressing. But good luck with the list! We're on the 14th, it's not waitlisted.

We have good friends from Toronto and have traveled with them for many years. Sand and Gary Reinblatt. Also the Poslins. We are still on wait list fr the 7Th and still hoping.

Just curious...did you ever hear anything back about your waitlist status? We were told this cruise was overbooked, and I was just wondering if you got on.

We were told that this Monday we should hear. We are on the 14th and we want to do a back to back starting on the 7th my birthday. So expect we will know by Tuesday. Thanks for asking.

Yeah! That's great that you cleared the waitlist. You are going to have such a wonderful cruise......French Polynesia is so magical and once there, you will certainly be bitten by the Tahiti flu and long to go back again and again. Enjoy your cruise and please report back afterwards.

We were trying to get on this cruise with a travel company discount, but they told us we couldn't be confirmed because they were overbooked. So, since we already had the airline tickets we went ahead and booked another cruise instead. But I keep waiting for them to call us up and say "Surprise! We have a cabin for you." :rolleyes: If they do, we may cancel the other cruise and take this one.

Glad you made it through that waitlist. Hope you and Judy enjoy your b2b. I am anxious to hear about your second leg as I will be going to some of those ports in January on the Navigator. Get packing!!!

We have done this before when the ports are different like the one we are taking now. Plus you get an extra discount above the 2 for 1. The best back to backs are on seabourn if you go a total of more than 18 days you get 50% off. It works well if they are only giving 25 or 30% off.

You don't get the extra 5% on a back to back. Just the 5% if you are a member which we got. We are so happy to be on this back to back. I am taking a big goody bag for the chocolates on our first segment. Hope they will hold them in the ice box. Am I showing our age?

We just booked this cruise this afternoon:p . We were cancelling a later cruise on Mariner and found we could avoid a penalty by rebooking. This cruise was no longer waitlisted this afternoon. We got a Cat F guarantee. They must have had some cancellations or were holding space for a group which ended up not needing it all. This is the first time we've booked a cruise only a week out. Thank goodness we can use Jetblue so the last minute airfare won't be through the roof. Maybe we'll see you guys onboard.
