Private Tour Requiring Passport Number

I am in the process of making a reservation with Hellenic Private Tours for 14 people. The form asks for passport numbers of all participants. They said the driver is required to have a list in the vehicle. Has anyone run into this situation? Thanks

Not this exact situation, but variations. Bear in mind, you likely will be providing your passport to hotels you check into as well. Just got back from 3 weeks in Austria and a little bit of Germany. Had to show, for recording, passports in almost all of our hotels.

You are missing the point. It is not uncommon to request passports from foreigners.

This is very common in many places around the world. I have had to do this on tours in Greece and many other countries. Especially South America. Have a wonderful cruise

I read on some other threads that yes, this is now required

of tour companies in Greece.

Remember that the ship will also have your PP info and you will also

need to show your PP if you are staying pre or post cruise in a hotel.
