West Coast Deal Alert ~ Explorer 4-day (Best of BC) Sept 17-21

Recommended Posts

I’m pretty sure it’s been $299 unless I’m

Blind?? I’ve been checking daily the last 2-3 weeks

I said the flier price was listed that way - the GGG flier advertised price does not always show up in reality.

Strange. I have the flier saved from July 17 and it’s 299us / 424ca. So I don’t get what you mean

No biggie at all... bottom line it's a good deal for any west coasters who can make it :)

I seem to remember the 7/24 GGG flier having that same $229 price.

In the past I have seen one price on the flier Friday that was not actually available by the Tuesday when they go into affect (typically a GTY that probably sells out over the weekend)

I booked a Promenade View inside (1T) at that price ($458, aka $229ppdo) Monday around 1 or 2am, eastern time directly on the web site. Until mid-day Monday, promenade view interior rooms were still available, then it became just regular interior.

In the 7/24-25/2018 Going Going Gone flyer, the 4-night Explorer 9/17/2018 was listed as $279/ppdo for Inside (2V, 4V, 6V, ZI). The 3-night Explorer 9/14/2018 before that one was $249ppdo for Inside (1T, 3V, 4V, ZI).

The 7/31/2018-8/1/2018 Going Going Gone flyer shows only the 4-night Explorer 9/17/2018 available, Inside for $229ppdo (1T, 3V, 4U, 4V, 6V, ZI).

A shame they came out in that order; I'd have liked to have both the 3-night and 4-night cruises booked, but wouldn't book the 3-night without the 4-night since it's the following week I need to be in Seattle anyway.

I started keeping the flyers every week back in June of last year; thought it might be useful info to look back on when trying to predict possibilities in the future.

We are going to go but it's not low enough. There is still 120 inside cabins left so I am waiting. ;p

Hey Bill! I saw you posted on the roll call last year even. Say... be careful. Both of these cruises last year there were hundreds of cabins left. Then one day they all

Magically disappeared... and then our roll call had a ton of newly booked cruisers with free casino royale cruises coming on board.

This current interior price is the least expensive I’ve seen it the last three years .

I would consider it if I wasn’t right after I get back from 21 days on the Serenade on Sept 13. My daughter is staying at my house, watching my dog for a month, so I don’t dare ask. But a good price for a home embarkation is always nice. Even for a solo cruiser.

Do you think that's why there isn't a market for Royal to keep a ship in LA.

There's a market for RC in Southern California, however the costs are such that can make more profit elsewhere. Even New Orleans is higher on the profit list. Perhaps if they had a few more ships, they would put one out there.

A ship in LA could do ports in southern California or Mexican or both. I would certainly go to escape winter. Did two Mexican ones and would have been happy to repeat every winter.

And we have a winner.

This weeks Going, Going Gone has it for $199.

Almost like the good old days, once I got a 5nite OV for $9ea plus $50 port tax, total $119 for the 2 of us... This is good reason why Royal won't be going back to West Coast anytime soon...

I have the 21st booked and thought I would add the 4 night one. Cdn prices and solo - comes out to a few dollars more than I paid when I booked the 7 night one earlier.
