Need Tuxedos For Teens

Recommended Posts

Hi- I've seen threads on here about places to get tuxedos for teens that are inexpensive. I thought I had saved them in my favorites but can't find them. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Lots!

Here's where I start to look...

http://www.buy4lesstuxedo.com/

http://www.etuxedo.com/

http://www.tuxedosonline.com/

http://www.uniformalwearhouse.com/

For a tuxedo on these sites though, stick with 100% wool, and only one buttons or two buttons.

Anything on a tuxedo 3 buttons or more is getting a bit "iffy".

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Here's some specifics from before that I like in general:

Here's one to start, all the sizes you need (separates) and the option of flat fronts...

http://www.etuxedo.com/tuxedo_separa...rma_tuxedo.htm

At least it will start you on ideas...

This is a good strong quality for traveling...

Here's another option for separates and a flat front pant...

It's a bit more modern with the notch lapel, so not as classic as the peak lapel one button in the post above...

Peak Lapel, two button, flat front option...

Peak Lapel, One Button, Flat Front option, available as separates, so both jacket and pants are in his size...

Hi- I found besttuxedo and they have a few packages to choose from. They have worsted wool, will that be better than the polyester ones? I don't want to break the bank but don't want el cheapo cheesy either.

Thanks

Yes, you really only want the worsted wool or the tropical weight wool.

To put it in your own words, the polyester ones do end up looking "el cheapo cheesy" - so I would never personally recommend those.

Good luck!

In general, it is always good to go to any tuxedo chain store first and get measured...

Then whatever you order from a website will fit fine...

Once you know your jacket size, it's straightforward.

You can pretty much order any jackets from then on.

Pants are even easier, as it's a waist measurement - and even then most tuxedo pants are waist size adjustable.

Just sayin';)

I rented a tux for my 13 YO son. He is tall and thin so they boy sizes would not fit. After proper measuring, I ordered the smallest men's size I could (34 short). For those of you who have rented onboard before; once he tries it on, if it is a little big in the jacket, can he have it altered onboard? Has anyone ever had ecperience with this? The ones my husband has rented in the past from Cruiseline Formalwear have always fit properly.

Thank you. Either way, we are going to have some great NYE pictures :)
