YC elevator override on new ships.

Hi just wondering if any one knew if the yacht club key can override the elevator on the newer ships (seaside, Meraviglia) like it can on the Divina?

From reports, it does on Seaside presently but they were looking into ending the practice.

It never happened to us once a couple weeks ago on the Seaside. All the elevators were working and were never really that busy or crowded.

From what I've read, not all elevators have the override. Only two. In the forward section (where the YC is). Is there not signage on those particular elevators?

I don't know why this seems to be such an issue on Seaside. I believe the system is the same on Divina and don't recall any complaints.

On Meraviglia at least two of the lifts, in the forward bank, have YC override on them. I used them last October.

There are eight forward elevators, and only the four closest to the YC entrance can be high-jacked by the YC members key card. Only the four elevators on the right side of the red box below:

The only issue that I've seen on our Feb 24th cruise on the Seaside was that some YC passenger's didn't know how to use their YC card properly to call the elevator resulting in the elevator sitting unusable for several moments until the elevator resets itself. Also, on a couple occasions, the YC passenger(s) didn't get in the right called elevator, again resulting in the elevator sitting unusable for several moments until the elevator resets itself.
