What time does Oceana leave Malta?

Hi, quick question - we arrive in Malta around 11.30am and a departuere flight time of 11.30am

My question is, on arrival day, what time does the ship leave Malta? Will we have time for sightseeing in Malta on arrival, as our departure time is early so won't be able to do anything that day

Thanks in advance

:) :)

On our recent cruise the ship sailed after our safety briefing held at 7.45 pm. You will be able to get off. The city is easily accessible, either by transport, or walking or by a nearby lift. It is a great city to explore and the views are terrific. We had a flight time of 11.15 and were on buses to the airport by 7.30, for a somewhat crowded period of waiting.

Assuming P&O are arranging your flights and transfers then you should be onboard by around midday and can get off once you have your sea pass. There is a taxi rank just outside the port to take you into Valletta itself or you can walk it, The ship will probably sail around 20.00 but you will need to be back onboard before then. To be on the safe side I would suggest you have between 12:30 and 15:30 to look at the attractions in the City depending what you like to see. The ship will offer a tour before airport drop off but 11:30 may to too short. :D

We are on the 10th May sailing and see that sailaway is 10pm. I hope so cos disappointingly, we dont land til 6.30pm (I wouldn't have booked the cruise if I'd known that, because we hate being refugees on the last day. We much prefer early morning out/late morning home. Cruise only is the way to go for me then I'm in control. Sorry to sidetrack)
